Creator Sessions

With Devon Gilfilian

In this Creator Session musician Devon Gilfillian performs and talks about the inspiration and experiences behind his debut album, Black Hole Rainbow. But perhaps most importantly, Devon talks to us about what is going on in our country today, how music can perfectly capture a moment in time and how authenticity often creates the best art.

We would be remiss not to recognize that this episode is being shared on Juneteenth, a national holiday that celebrates the ending of slavery in the United States. In this Creator Session, Devon talks about what it's like to be a Black artist today and how he previously might not have shared his thoughts for fear of making others uncomfortable.

This Juneteenth we are grateful for the opportunity to amplify his voice, his art, and share his message that now is the time to be uncomfortable, mobilize, and create change.

This Creator Session couldn’t be more timely as it is filled with lessons of empowerment and hope.
